Semester 1, Week 3: Cheap and classy

It’s crunch time for casting Christmas.

The play reading went down, the beer was cold and the tacos were spectacular. A huge thank you to Michelle, Michael, Mikhail, Shanira, Sarah & Sarah, and Tony, for helping us through our first experiment in this important year of student-devised theatre.

You’re probably starting to think about your first assignments right now, but there’s more to life than essays. The Facebook event for our upcoming audition is live and ready for you to click on it. Christmas in July is set in the Blue Mountains on that very important day for all Australians. It’s a fun, mad and irreverent play – check our blog post with all the relevant information. You can comment on it, or email us all your questions!

Remember to keep an eye on our events page to get all the information about upcoming readings, auditions, and social events. We’re planning a public meeting for anyone who can’t make it to the auditions (and our new backstage heroes) on the 25th, so check in on that.

Our inaugural (and awesome) pitch competition for budding theatre writers is running until June 30th. If you know someone who works with a publication or website relevant to this topic, we have a media release available.

See you on Wednesday (or the flipside),

Brit
